A Message from Bretton Conservative Candidate, Chris Burbage
I have lived in and around Bretton for over 40 years, a product of Eyrescroft School and Bretton Woods Community School. In that time I have seen many changes, some good and some bad.
In Bretton we are blessed with wonderful open spaces, great local shopping facilities and a multitude of leisure facilities. Bretton Park and numerous other green spaces need to be protected and enjoyed. We have local leisure amenities that other areas of Peterborough can be jealous of. We have a great hub and theatre at The Cresset, Ice skating and Ice Sports at Planet Ice, Ten Pin Bowling at AMF and National League Rugby at Solstice Park. But we are also blighted by flytipping, anti-social behaviour and very little for the youth of Bretton to enjoy. Our community is becoming more fragmented every day and we deserve better.
I will tackle flytipping head on, pushing for those responsible to held accountable. By working with local youth groups and leisure facilities around Bretton I hope to get more community engagement from our younger generation and instil a community spirit to respect one another and be proud of our environment. Labour councillors have been ineffective in tackling the most basic issues facing Bretton.
We deserve better. Working alongside Conservative Councillor Scott Warren, I will fight to bring the community spirit back to Bretton, to take your voice to Peterborough City Council, and strive to make our environment a better place to live and work.
Yours sincerely
Chris Burbage
