Peterborough MP Stewart Jackson will be attending a public meeting which is being called by Cllr John Peach, representative for Park Ward, for the parents and children of local schools.
Stewart Jackson MP wants to hear personally the views of local residents and parents.
The meeting will be taking place at 3.30pm on Friday 27th January at Newark Hill School, by the kind permission of their Head Teacher, Mrs L Mann.
Stewart Jackson MP and Cllr Peach have prepared a petition which will be available at the meeting for members of the public to sign. Cllr Peach will present a copy of the signed petition to Peterborough City Council and by Stewart Jackson MP will put the petition before the House of Commons.
Stewart Jackson said:
“I’ve been flooded with letters and emails and am personally very concerned about the consequences of the city council’s proposals.
I hope as many parents as possible can come along to share their views and sign my petition.
By working together we can win this campaign for Peterborough and ensure that our children’s safety is remains our top priority.”
